11 bit Studios’ highly anticipated Frostpunk 2 has been making waves with its recent beta release. Gamers who pre-purchased the Deluxe Edition on PC have been given the exclusive opportunity to test out the Utopia Builder Preview until April 22nd, giving them a taste of what's to come in this social survival sequel.
The beta version of the game features the Sandbox Mode, which allows players to explore 40 percent of the overall experience. In this mode, players are tasked with managing their settlement on a much larger scale than before, all while navigating the complexities of dealing with different factions. And, as expected, the bone-chilling cold continues to pose a significant threat.
For those eagerly awaiting the full release of Frostpunk 2, mark your calendars for July 25th, the official launch date for the PC version. The developers at 11 bit Studios have promised an array of new content, including additional factions, colonies, maps, and a narrative campaign. Excitingly, PC Game Pass subscribers will have access to the game on day one. For console gamers, Frostpunk 2 is also in development for Xbox Series X/S and PS5, with more details on a release date for these platforms set to be revealed in the coming months.
