With the highly anticipated release of Frostpunk 2 just around the corner, fans of the original survival city builder game are eagerly awaiting the chance to dive back into the icy world of Frostpunk. Set to launch on July 25, 2024, Frostpunk 2 is expected to build upon the success of its predecessor and offer players a whole new set of challenges and experiences.
Before the official release date rolls around, players will have the opportunity to participate in the Frostpunk 2 beta, which kicks off on April 15 at 1 pm EST and runs through April 22 at 1 pm EST. During this one-week period, players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Frostpunk 2 will have access to the Utopia Builder Preview, which offers a sneak peek at the game's Utopia sandbox mode.
In order to gain access to the beta, players must pre-order the Frostpunk 2 Deluxe Edition, which is priced at $74.99 but is currently available at a discounted price of $67.49. In addition to beta access, purchasing the Deluxe Edition also includes three DLCs, the ability to play the story mode 72 hours before release, an exclusive in-game item, a digital edition of the "Warm Flesh" novella, and a digital artbook and soundtrack.
While the beta will only feature a portion of the Utopia sandbox mode and will be available in English and Simplified Chinese languages, players can expect more languages to be available at the full release of the game. It's important to note that the beta is just a taste of what Frostpunk 2 has to offer, with the full sandbox mode and story mode being reserved for the official release date.
