World of Warcraft Hotfixes Patch Notes (22nd May 2026)
Blizzard has dropped a fresh round of hotfixes for World of Warcraft, pulling caps off Bloody Tokens and upgrade Crests while cleaning up a handful of class and raid bugs.
The May 22 hotfixes for World of Warcraft are live, and the headline change is one PvP players have been waiting on: Bloody Tokens no longer have a total accumulation cap. Combined with the earlier removal of the Conquest cap for the rest of Season 1, Blizzard is clearly trying to remove friction for players catching up on PvP currency before the season closes out.
On the class side, an Unholy Death Knight bug was causing the Forbidden Ritual aura to stick permanently, which is the sort of thing that sounds minor until you're the one getting hit by it indefinitely. Protection Paladin also gets a fix for Guardian of the Forgotten Queen, which was incorrectly shrugging off crowd control effects it should have been vulnerable to. Neither change reshapes the meta, but both address real gameplay problems.
Mythic raiders will notice that Midnight Falls continues to receive tuning attention, with Starsplinter and Criticality damage already reduced on May 19 and Heaven's Glaives duration cut in half. Blizzard is clearly still dialling in that encounter. Here's everything that changed.
