World of Warcraft Hotfixes Patch Notes (22nd July 2026)
Blizzard has rolled out a fresh round of hotfixes targeting PvP balance across Demon Hunters, Monks, Priests, and Shamans, while also tweaking the new Decor Duel mini-game and fixing several quest bugs.

PvP balance has received another round of tuning in today's hotfixes, with Blizzard targeting survivability and damage output across several specs that have been pulling too far ahead of the pack.
Demon Hunters take the biggest hit. Both Devourer and Havoc variants were proving too difficult to kill, so Demon Muzzle now reduces magic damage taken by only 5% in PvP (down from 15%), and Glimpse's damage reduction while airborne drops to 25% (from 35%). Mistweaver Monks are also being dialled back. Way of the Crane now converts only 100% of Spinning Crane Kick's damage into healing in PvP, a substantial cut from 340%.
On the flip side, Holy Priests and Restoration Shamans are catching buffs. Holy Priests gain a 3% healing boost across the board plus significant Holy Fire damage increases (15% direct, 27% periodic), while Restoration Shamans see Riptide healing jump 15% to shore up their instant-cast healing game. Decor Duel also gets tweaked: the final 30 seconds no longer auto-reveal hiders, seekers' energy gain slows by 20%, and Illusionary Coin rewards double.
The full list includes Dawnwell quest fixes and several other adjustments across Mists of Pandaria Classic and earlier content.

Player versus Player
- Demon Hunter
- Developers’ notes: Both Devourer and Havoc Demon Hunters have been more difficult to land kills against than intended. We’re reducing the potency of shared mitigation effects that are contributing to their survival.
- Demon Muzzle now reduces magic damage taken by 5% in PvP combat (was 15%).
- Glimpse now reduces damage taken by 25% (was 35%) while airborne after using Vengeful Retreat.
- Monk
- Mistweaver
- Developers’ notes: We’re reducing Mistweavers’ ability to heal versus clumped targets in PvP since they’ve been outputting more healing than we’d like against pet classes.
- Way of the Crane now transfers 100% of Spinning Crane Kick’s damage into healing in PvP Combat (was 340%).
- Mistweaver
- Priest
- Discipline
- Healing of all spells increased by 3% in PvP combat.
- Holy
- Developers’ notes: We’re increasing overall healing and providing an opportunity for Holy Priests to contribute offensively to secure kills with their team.
- Holy Fire direct damage increased by 15%.
- Holy Fire periodic damage increased by 27%.
- All healing increased by 3%.
- Discipline
- Shaman
- Restoration
- Developers’ notes: Restoration Shaman healing performance has been slightly behind other healers in PvP, so we’re targeting an increase to their instant healing capabilities.
- Riptide healing increased by 15% in PvP combat.
- Restoration
Quests
- Dawnwell questgivers should now correctly be in place to turn in the quest "From Darkness, Light" and should stick around until the player has picked up “Hagar’s Invitation”.
