No Man's Sky The Swarm - 6.41 Patch Notes (28th May 2026)

Hello Games has pushed patch 6.41 for No Man's Sky, addressing a couple of issues that cropped up shortly after The Swarm update launched yesterday.

A day after The Swarm dropped, Hello Games has already pushed patch 6.41 to address a couple of early issues. It's live on Steam now, with other platforms to follow.

Two fixes make up the entire patch. First, a character colour customisation bug that was causing players to appear incorrectly during The Swarm expedition has been resolved. Second, a crash that could trigger when joining a multiplayer session is gone. Neither is a massive gameplay problem, but that multiplayer crash in particular needed sorting fast given the expedition is built around cooperative play.

Small patch, quick turnaround. Hello Games have always been solid about rapid follow-up fixes after major updates, and this is exactly that. Full patch notes below.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you to everyone playing No Man’s Sky – The Swarm, especially those taking the time to report any issues they encounter via Zendesk or console crash reporting.

We are listening closely to your feedback, and have identified and resolved a number of issues. These fixes are included in patch 6.41, which is now live on Steam, and will be coming to other platforms as soon as possible.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause player characters to have incorrect colour customisation during The Swarm expedition.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when joining a multiplayer session.

 

We will continue to release patches as issues are identified and resolved. If you experience any issues, let us know by submitting a bug report.
