If you're a fan of the horror game Lethal Company, you'll be excited to hear that the latest content update, version 50, is now available. However, accessing this update is a bit different than usual as it can only be found on the Steam beta branch. Don't worry, we've got you covered with a guide on how to access the Lethal Company v50 Beta update and how to switch back to the live version when needed.
To get started and play the version 50 update before it officially releases, you'll need to enable the beta branch on Steam. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this:
- Right-click on Lethal Company in your Steam Library.
- Select Properties from the dropdown menu.
- Click on Betas.
- Choose "public_beta" from the Beta Participation dropdown menu.
- Steam will then download the beta files and update your game.
- Launch Lethal Company from your Steam Library.
It's important to note that you'll need to be on the same version as your friends if you want to play together. This means that if you're on the v50 beta branch, your friends will also need to be on the beta branch.
If you decide you want to switch back to version 49 of Lethal Company, simply follow the same process as above but choose "None" instead of "public_beta" under Beta Participation. This will revert your game files to the live version.
Once the version 50 update is officially released and no longer limited to the beta branch, remember to set your beta status to none to return to the current live version of the game.
