If you've been playing Apex Legends on your Steam Deck, you may have noticed some issues with anti-cheat compatibility following the recent "Upheaval" update. Thankfully, Valve has come to the rescue and quickly addressed the problem.
Valve engineer, Pierre-Loup Griffais, took to Twitter to announce the deployment of a Proton Hotfix specifically designed to fix the anti-cheat issue affecting Apex Legends on the Steam Deck. This swift response from Valve shows their commitment to ensuring a smooth gaming experience for players.

The patch has been applied to the Proton Hotfix layer, now set as the default for Apex Legends. To get it up and running on your Steam Deck, simply head to your "Download" tab and download the Proton Hotfix update. If you're connected to WiFi, the update should start automatically once you launch Apex Legends.
