If you're someone who loves capturing memorable moments from your gaming experience, you'll be thrilled to learn about the new features introduced in the recent Steam Deck Beta Client update.

The update brings some exciting enhancements, including the ability to capture screenshots with the Steam user interface elements, a long-awaited feature for many steam deck owners. Additionally, the update also addresses issues like the swapped A and B buttons on GameCube controllers and errors encountered when launching specific games after the previous beta update.

If you're eager to try out the new features for yourself, simply navigate to your system settings and switch to the "Steam Deck Beta" update channel.

Here are some of the key improvements introduced in the update:

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the framerate limiter from applying changes.
  • Fixed screenshots not including Steam user interface elements.
  • Added an option in Settings to hide Steam user interface elements from screenshots.
  • Fixed an error when launching some games that was introduced in the previous beta.

For Nintendo GameCube controller users, the update also includes:

  • Fixed swapped A/B buttons when using Nintendo GameCube controllers.
  • Reset Camera Horizon: Increase maximum delay for a more consistent behavior on lower frame-rates.
