Exciting news for the gaming community, Sony recently confirmed that the Director's Cut of Ghost of Tsushima will be released for the PC.
This version of the popular game has been developed by Nixxes, in tandem with Sucker Punch Productions. It is set to be launched on May 16, on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Originally debuted on the PS4 in 2020, Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world escapade that takes players back to the Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. In the skin of Jin Sakai, the samurai warrior protagonist, players traverse through a historically accurate depiction of Japan.
This masterpiece, crafted by Sucker Punch Productions, presents a riveting narrative of revenge, empowerment, and hope. Further enhancing the experience was the post-launch addition of Legends, a cooperative online multiplayer mode that also saw a standalone release in 2021.
The Director's Cut expanded on the PS4 version and was available for both PS4 and PS5 in August 2021. It introduced a fresh story expansion, Iki Island, where Jin faces off against the Eagle, a shaman leading a Mongol tribe.
The prime elements of the PC version include the foundational game, the Iki Island expansion, as well as Legends mode. Julian Huijbregts, an online community specialist at Nixxes, explained that "for the past year, the team at Nixxes has been working hard to bring the Sucker Punch in-house engine technology to PC".
PC players will benefit from unlocked frame rates, customizable mouse and keyboard controls, and a range of graphic settings and presets, ensuring an opulent visual gaming experience.
Huijbregts mentioned that the game also utilizes the latest performance-enhancing technologies from NVIDIA. Inclusive of DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 with options for upscaling and frame generation, the game on PC is promised to deliver superior image quality.
