Star Wars The Old Republic 7.9.1 Patch Notes (3rd August 2026)
Galactic Season 11 arrives in two weeks with returning companions and new cosmetics, whilst the Cartel Market gains dedicated accessory organisation and a fresh wave of cybernetic customisations.

Game Update 7.9.1 lands with a modest but deliberate focus: seasonal content, cosmetic expansion, and cleanup work on persistent bugs that have frustrated players across cinematics and group content. The headline is Galactic Season 11, but the structural change to how the Cartel Market organises cosmetics may prove more useful to the playerbase long-term.
Galactic Season 11 "Light and Shadow" begins August 18th and recycles a proven formula from Season 10. The returning companions Fen Zeil and Amity from Seasons 2 and 4 will be available again, alongside new customisations for both, a fresh armour set, companion-compatible mounts, titles, and Stronghold labels. This is not new territory for the seasonal structure, but the reissue of older companions signals that BioWare is comfortable letting players catch up on cosmetics they may have missed. For players who skipped earlier seasons, this is a second chance; for those who completed them, the new cosmetics justify engagement without forcing repetition of old rewards.
The Cartel Market receives its first structural reorganisation in this patch with a dedicated Accessories tab added to the Categories menu. All existing accessory items migrate to this tab, and a substantial wave of new cybernetic customisations arrives at launch: prosthetic limbs, eyeguards, sensory packages, targeting enhancements, and adapters across multiple model lines. This is cosmetic-only, but the sheer volume, roughly twenty new items, suggests BioWare is intensifying its focus on character customisation as a revenue driver. The addition of Oiled Bronze dyes further expands appearance options. For players who customise heavily, this tab consolidation reduces friction in the Cartel Market interface; for others, it simply organises existing clutter. The prosthetics line draws directly from Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord, tying cosmetics to official media.
Bug fixes address several friction points that have persisted. The most practical for group content is the Dynamic Encounters fix, which now allows the final step progress to share with nearby group members. A quality-of-life improvement for Flashpoint teams. The Sith Dreadnought Red Reaper Flashpoint gains interactable elevator controls and loses a floating rock formation, removing environmental annoyances. Cinematics fixes restore correct weapon display when leaving Trooper disguise and eliminate Cantina music bleeding over cutscenes. These are not headline issues, but they compound into smoother play sessions.
Absent is any balance pass for PvP or PvE combat, class adjustments, or endgame progression systems. The Feast of Prosperity seasonal event returns October 6th with a new C2-N2 and 2V-R8 waiter droid customisation, but no new gameplay mechanics accompany it. This patch is cosmetic and structural, not systemic. For players seeking combat tuning or endgame depth, this update will not deliver.
