Smite 2's OB31 update, titled The King Of Uruk, went live on 23rd March 2026. Here's a full breakdown of what Hi-Rez changed.
New god drops in Smite 2 rarely arrive in isolation. Hi-Rez typically bundles them with targeted balance passes, quality-of-life tweaks, and whatever the team has been working through on the bug backlog. If past Open Beta patches are anything to go by, expect adjustments to gods who were either overperforming in the current meta or getting left behind entirely.

Ability 2: Drop KickDrop kick an area in front of you, dealing Physical Damage to enemies. The closest enemy is launched through them, taking bonus physical damage when hitting a minion or burst physical damage and stunned when hitting a God or wall.

Ability 3: Hero’s AdvanceLeap to a target location dealing physical damage on impact. Create a beacon for 5 seconds.

Ultimate Ability: Winds of ShamashCall the winds of Shamash at a target location. Enemies inside at the start take physical damage and are slowed. Enemies in the ring take physical damage. The outer wall heavily slows; your damage pulls them to the center.

Aspect releasingAspect of ShamashWinds of Shamash is no longer an ultimate. Place a wind wall that transforms once with your next ability. Ignites from Sun-Forged Scimitar, solidifies from Drop Kick, or launches allies from Hero’s Advance. It can only transform once, granting you attack speed, tenacity, or Pathfinding until its next transformation.

- Leaver PointsPlayers who leave matches or dodge lobbies acquire Leaver PointsUpon reaching certain thresholds of Leaver Points, two things occur:Players see a message that explains their account has been penalized for leaving a match, and that leaving matches is bad. They must type "I Agree" that they will not abandon future matches to proceed past this screen.Players are sent to a Low Priority Queue before their next X matches. This requires them to wait an additional amount of time before they will find a match. The time required to wait scales up with points acquired. Shifted Tower shot prefire/postfire timing from 0.3s/0.7s -> 0.0s/1.0sPreviously there was a 0.3s delay before the tower would fire its first shot. This removes that delay to match parity with Smite 1. While it's not a huge buff to towers, it should make them feel more responsive when targeting gods that dive you under tower.

Item Balance
Changes from PTS:
- Echo has been decreased from 40%/20% on ultimates to 30%/15% on ultimates.
- Pathfinding now considers Movement Speed Diminishing returns. This makes it significantly weaker than the first testing.
Bug Fixes:
- Some items were giving adaptive stats in addition to their base ones.
- Some items were permanently giving stats.
- Resolute Mantle was providing significantly higher Health Per Second than listed.
- Echo was multi-proccing off some on-damaged effects. (Hecate A01 Mark)
Things we are watching out for:
