Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Y11S2.3 Patch Notes (4th August 2026)

Ubisoft has rolled out Y11S2.3 with a focus on reducing the exposure window for attackers deploying utility. Hibana's detonation timer, Maverick's fuel capacity, and Fuze's breaching speed all receive quality-of-life improvements.

The Y11S2.3 patch lands with a clear design philosophy: reduce the window during which attackers must stand still while committing utility. That's not a cosmetic change. In competitive Rainbow Six, exposure time is survival time, and every fraction of a second an operator spends locked into an animation is a fraction of a second a defender has to punish them.

Hibana's X-Kairos detonation timer drops from 4 seconds to 3.8 seconds, a modest cut that compounds across multiple pellet placements. Maverick gains 16 additional canister ammo (144 to 160) and 32 total ammo (288 to 320), directly extending how many wall sections he can open before running dry. Fuze's Cluster Charge breaches reinforced surfaces 0.25 seconds faster, from 2 seconds to 1.75 seconds. These are not headline numbers, but they address a recurring friction point: attackers who commit utility in the open become predictable targets. Faster deployment means less time for defenders to reposition, rotate, or pre-aim the expected breach point.

Weapon adjustments touch the Impact EMP Grenade and Reaper MK2. The EMP radius expands from 1.8m to 2m, making it more forgiving for destroying multiple electronics in tight spaces. The Reaper MK2 recoil refinement delays when recoil stages kick in (now at bullets 0, 3, 10, 25 instead of 0, 3, 7, 13), smoothing sustained fire on both Mouse & Keyboard and controller. This is a comfort adjustment, not a power shift.

Bug fixes address several longstanding issues: rappelling attackers unable to enter Chalet balconies, defenders undetected outside Villa's EXT Garage, operators frozen during concussion-interrupted Armor Pack animations, and the Roc Shield hitbox overshooting its model. Console-specific fixes resolve crossplay input detection failures and controller placement in PC lobbies. A PvE Quick Match infinite loading loop affecting five-player squads is also resolved.

What remains unaddressed is harder to pin down from the notes alone, but the patch's focus on utility speed and gadget forgiveness suggests the dev team is targeting a specific pain point: the gap between high-precision play and casual execution. These buffs reward both, but they do not alter operator roles or create new strategies. They make existing ones more reliable.

CHANGES TO OPERATORS

HIBANA

"Hibana's X-Kairos already offers a high degree of flexibility, but deploying pellets can sometimes leave her exposed for longer than intended. This small adjustment reduces the delay before detonation, allowing her to act more quickly after committing utility."

X-KAIROS

  • X-Kairos detonation timer reduced to 3.8s (was 4s).

MAVERICK

"Resource management is a core part of Maverick's gameplay. Increasing the available fuel gives players a bit more flexibility when creating openings, making the Breaching Torch more forgiving, without changing its overall role."

BREACHING TORCH

  • Increased canister ammo to 160 (was 144).
  • Total ammo increased to 320 (was 288).

FUZE

"Fuze's Cluster Charges can be difficult to deploy on reinforced surfaces without exposing him to defenders. This small speed increase improves responsiveness and allows him to execute plays more reliably."

CLUSTER CHARGE

  • Reduced breaching time on reinforced surfaces and Armor Panels to 1.75s (was 2s).

TUBARÃO

"The Zoto Canister's area of effect plays a key role in controlling space and denying actions. This small increase improves coverage and placement forgiveness, making its impact more consistent."

ZOTO CANISTER

  • Increased Zoto Canister range to 3.2m (was 3m).

ORYX

"Oryx's mobility is central to his identity. Reducing the dash recharge time allows him to reposition and react more frequently, reinforcing his role as a highly mobile defender."

REMAH DASH

  • Dash recharge time reduced to 5s (was 8s).

MUTE

"Mute's Signal Disruptors often require very precise placement to cover key entry points and drone paths. This increase in range makes deployments more forgiving and improves coverage consistency without changing how the gadget is used."

SIGNAL DISRUPTOR

  • Increased disruption range to 2.6m (was 2.475m).
  • Increased disruption warning to 4.875m (was 4.75m).

CHANGES TO WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT

IMPACT EMP GRENADE

"Impact EMP Grenades often rely on precise placement to affect multiple electronic devices. Increasing their radius makes these interactions more forgiving and consistent, without significantly expanding their overall utility."

CHANGES

  • EMP Range increased to 2m (was 1.8m).

REAPER MK2

"The Reaper MK2 is receiving a recoil refinement focused on improving comfort and consistency across both Mouse & Keyboard and Controller. These adjustments should make sustained fire more manageable without altering the weapon's overall identity."

RECOIL – M&K & CONTROLLER

  • Recoil stages kick in later on the burst to Bullet 0,3,10,25 (was Bullet 0,3,7,13).

BUG FIXES

GAMEPLAY

USER EXPERIENCE

FIXED - Default value for "Crossplay & Input devices" setting is Mouse & Keyboard.

FIXED - The Match Cancellation Vote will disappear should a second player from the same team disconnects.

FIXED - Players with Elite and third party XBOX controllers plugged into consoles are being placed in PC lobbies.

FIXED - Mouse & Keyboard is not detected on console.
