Phasmophobia - Hotfix v0.17.1.1 Patch Notes (13th May 2026)

Kinetic Games drops a quick hotfix to clean up the messiest bugs from v0.17.1.0, including a Kormos that had no respect for the already-dead.

Less than 24 hours after we covered the chaos surrounding v0.17.1.0, Kinetic Games has pushed Hotfix v0.17.1.1 to address the most pressing fallout from that update.

The two fixes that will matter most to players: equipment stutter when moving is gone, and the Kormos ghost has been reined in considerably. That ghost was somehow detecting and targeting dead players, which is the kind of bug that sounds funny until you're in a four-person lobby and half your team is getting hunted from beyond the grave. Both the detection and the kill attempt have been patched out. Several crash sources have also been squashed, which should make sessions noticeably more stable after a rough few days.

One known issue remains open: interacting with the Truck's CCTV screen while using a Spirit Box can lock your character. Kinetic Games hasn't given a timeline on that one yet. Here's the full breakdown.
