Phasmophobia - Cursed Hollow v0.16.1.0 Patch Notes (31st March 2026)
Phasmophobia's annual Cursed Hollow springtime event has returned with v0.16.1.0, bringing cooperative event activities and fresh rewards to unlock across dedicated event maps.
Phasmophobia's Cursed Hollow event is back. The v0.16.1.0 update dropped on 31st March, kicking off Kinetic Games' annual springtime event for 2026 and bringing the usual cooperative structure with it: ghost hunters working together across event-specific maps to unlock rewards through event activities.
If you played Cursed Hollow in previous years, you know the drill. The event leans into the community aspect of Phasmophobia in a way the base game doesn't always demand, and honestly, that's part of what makes it work. Coordinated ghost hunting for a shared reward pool hits differently than a solo investigation gone wrong at 2am.
According to the official Steam announcement, full event details were covered in a prior blog post, with today's update delivering the patch itself. If you're jumping in fresh, the event maps are where you want to be. Full patch notes below.
Welcome back, Ghost Hunters. We’ve got an update for you.
Today we’re excited to kick-off 2026’s iteration of Cursed Hollow, Phasmophobia’s annual springtime in-game event. As detailed previously, we’re tasking Ghost Hunters to once again work together to unlock rewards by taking part in event activities on the event specific maps.
Full details can be found via the linked blog above and below you’ll find today’s patch notes.
New
- **Cursed Hollow: **Complete contracts, objectionable objectives and more to earn points towards both Community & Personal goals. Each day, a different selection of locations will be specified on the contract board to be a part of the event. For more details, read here.
- **Double XP & Rewards: **For the first week of the event (31st March - 7th April), players will receive double XP and rewards from their contracts.
- **Cursed Hollow Rewards: **On completing the goals, players will be rewarded with event-specific rewards such as the Pathfinder ID Card & Badge, in both static and animated versions.
As part of the Cursed Hollow rewards, players will notice that we are offering cosmetic rewards for the first time. Going forward, this will be the case for every seasonal event.
For this year’s Cursed Hollow only, while the challenge can be completed during the event, the rewards themselves will only be available at the launch of our Player Character Update, due for release soon. Players that successfully complete the Cursed Hollow Cosmetics personal goal will be able to view and equip these items as soon as the update is available.
To that end, we wanted to provide a preview of the rewards themselves so Ghost Hunters know what they are working towards.
