A small but steady update for PEAK adds fresh maps to the daily rotation, with the developers confirming the final biome is in progress.

The developers aren't overselling this one. Patch 1.62.a for PEAK is, by their own admission, a small update, and the notes reflect that. New maps have been added to the daily rotation, which is the main deliverable here.

The team also took the opportunity to explain how the map rotation actually works: new maps have to be generated and added manually every month or so, and that process will stay manual until development on PEAK wraps up. It's a small transparency win, and I'd rather have the honest explanation than silence on why the pool doesn't update itself. The note that they're actively working on the final biome is the more interesting detail, even if they're not ready to put a date on it.

Not every patch needs to be a headline drop. This one keeps the daily rotation fresh while the bigger work continues in the background. Everything in the update is listed below.

IT'S A SMALL PATCH DON'T GET TOO EXCITED

  • Added a new batch of maps for the daily rotation!

people ask whenever we add new maps so as an fyi: we have to generate new maps every month or so and add them to the game ourselves for the daily rotation. We'll have a solution sorted whenever we finish development on peak!

also yes we are working on the final biome! no you can't know when it'll be finished.
