PEAK's latest beta patch, 0.65.c, landed on 7th July and it's mostly about cleaning house. The developers have squashed a string of visual bugs that've been nagging players: plastic rendering on Airplane Food and Trail Mix is fixed, the low-res meshes cluttering the title screen are gone, and the Landcrab splash screen that mysteriously vanished is back where it belongs.

Mesa gets the most attention here. The campfire LODs are reinstated, those hidden spore shrooms are finally visible again, and the invisible rocks that've been tripping players up should now actually render. The Oasis and Mirage areas will also properly randomise their trees and bushes instead of repeating the same layouts.

There's a catch: map count drops from 15 to 14 temporarily to keep patch sizes manageable while the build stabilises. It's a pragmatic trade-off, though the patch notes offer no explanation for the missing 0.65.b. just a joke about computer science education.
