Overwatch 2 Patch Notes (23rd April 2026)

A balance hotfix lands for Overwatch 2, targeting win rate outliers from Season 2's start and reining in some Stadium builds that have gotten out of hand.

Season 2 has only been running a few weeks, but Blizzard has already spotted enough win rate drift to push a balance hotfix today. The two headliners in standard play are Roadhog and Sombra: Roadhog gets his Chain Hook cooldown trimmed from 8 to 7 seconds, which is a small but meaningful buff for a hero who lives and dies by that ability's uptime. Sombra's movement speed penalty while revealed drops from 50% to 33%, making her slightly less punishing to play when she gets caught out.

Stadium is where most of the heavy lifting happens in this patch. Hazard's Spike Guard builds are getting cut down significantly, with Off the Wall dropping from 60 to 40 damage and several resource bonuses halved. Junker Queen's Royal Bullets wound damage falls from 40 to 25 after what Blizzard describes as dominance across several seasons. Ramattra gets a mixed bag, with some Ravenous Vortex powers pulled back and weapon-focused options buffed to open up build variety.

I think the Stadium adjustments are overdue. Hazard and Junker Queen have both felt oppressive in that mode for a while, and single-build dominance is exactly what Stadium shouldn't encourage. Full patch notes below.
