Overwatch 2 Patch Notes (1st July 2026)
A quick hotfix lands today with some relief for the Community Crafted event grind.

Overwatch 2 gets a hotfix update today that focuses entirely on the Community Crafted event, and honestly, the changes needed to happen. Three of the event's meta challenges had requirements that felt punishing rather than rewarding, and Blizzard's cut them down significantly.
The "Streamer Luck" challenge, which asked you to win with 20 different heroes, is now just 3 wins. "Chat, Are We Cooked?" dropped from 14 completions to 13. Most importantly, the "Clickbait Mitigation" damage mitigation requirement fell from 15,000 to just 5,000, which turns a tedious grind into something actually doable in a few matches. These aren't tiny tweaks; they're the difference between an event feeling like a chore and one you might actually want to engage with.
Replay codes from yesterday's patch are still valid, so you won't lose any progress. Check the full notes below for the complete breakdown.
The full patch notes are available on the official source. Read them on Blizzard →
