Don't Starve Together Game Update - 725134 Notes (27th April 2026)
WX-78 gets a full skill tree overhaul in Don't Starve Together's latest update, though Shadow Affinity is temporarily locked while Klei finishes it off.
WX-78 is finally getting the spotlight treatment in Game Update 725134, which dropped on Steam yesterday. The robot's Circuit system has been expanded to 3 bars with several new Circuits added, and the full skill tree is now live, with one catch.
Klei has temporarily locked the Shadow Affinity branch because they aren't happy with it yet. They're planning a hotfix once it meets their standards, and console players will need to wait until Monday for a new build that ships without that portion of the tree. Honestly, I'd rather they hold it back than push something half-finished, so this is the right call even if it's a bit awkward at launch.
Beyond WX-78, the Clockwork followers cap is now enforced post-Year of the Clockwork Knight event, limiting most players to 2 of each type (WX-78 gets 3). A new "WX-78 Pretty Dark Idolatry Chest" skin bundle is available for $5.99, and the Butterbee Beebox skin has been added to Streaming Drops. Klei also confirmed the Shadow Arc Finale is next on the roadmap, set to release alongside the 10th anniversary of DST and 20th Anniversary celebration at Klei Fest in June.

WX-78 Skill Spotlight
The WX-78 skill spotlight is now available on Steam. We aren't quite happy with Shadow Affinity, so we decided to lock that part of the tree, and we'll hotfix it in as soon as we have it ready for you. We'll need a few more days for console since we need a new build for console that holds off the shadow affinity portion of the tree. We expect this to be released for console on Monday. We apologize for the inconvenience here, but we think it's worth it for us to make sure Shadow Affinity meets our expectations.

Our Ambassadors have also been given a bunch of new codes to give away. Including Starter Packs, and two new Resurrected skins, the Resurrected All-Chemical Engine and Nightmarish Magician's Chest!
