The Community Challenge is nearly wrapped up. Bungie confirmed in this week's This Week in Destiny that Guardians hit the primary goal and are now pushing hard toward the Commander's Orders escalated target, which is a decent sign that the playerbase is still showing up for seasonal content.

Alongside the community update, Bungie is rolling out the Animal Instinct emblem to players who earned it, so check your collections if you've been grinding the challenge. They're also recognising AANHPI Heritage Month this week, continuing the studio's regular cultural acknowledgements in the TWID.

The main gameplay business is Update 9.5.6.3. The source material doesn't spell out every change, but the patch dropped alongside this post so expect the usual mix of balance tweaks and bug fixes. I wouldn't call this a headline update, but mid-season patches in Destiny 2 have a habit of quietly shifting the sandbox more than the version number suggests. The complete notes are below.

Full Patch Notes

This week in Destiny, we are quite impressed with how fast you Guardians are progressing towards the Commander’s Orders escalated target after reaching the primary goal of the Community Challenge.

  • Commander's Orders nears completion
  • Animal Instinct emblem being distributed
  • Celebrating AANHPI month
