Not every weekly update reshuffles the sandbox, and this one leans squarely into community rewards rather than balance changes. This Week In Destiny for May 14th confirms that Commander's Orders have been completed, which means players who put in the work can now collect their due.

The bigger talking point is the new batch of community emblems. Bungie is pitching these as some of the most visually impressive they've produced for Destiny 2, and I'll reserve full judgement until I see them in-game, but the studio doesn't usually oversell cosmetics like that without reason. Emblems tied to community creators are also included, so if you've been following specific content creators, there may be something here with your name on it.

The update also covers active and upcoming in-game activities, so if you're planning your session this week, it's worth a read before you log in.
