Crusader Kings III 1.19.0.5 Patch Notes (7th May 2026)
Paradox drops a small but focused bugfix patch for Crusader Kings III, cleaning up some messy leftovers from the 1.19 Scribe release.
A few weeks after the 1.19 "Scribe" update landed, Paradox has pushed 1.19.0.5 today to mop up the mess. It's a small patch, but some of these fixes are overdue, especially if you've been deep into a campaign.
The two that will matter most to active players: the Iberian Dominance ending could previously be repeated indefinitely for unlimited renown, which is the kind of exploit that quietly breaks a save if you don't catch it early. Custom title names were also being wiped back to defaults after a ruler's death, which is a frustrating regression for anyone putting effort into a flavourful playthrough. Both are squashed here. The "Song of El Cid" Story Cycle being outright unfinishable was another one I'd expect players to hit fairly often, so that fix is welcome too.
Paradox also slipped in a note worth reading verbatim: infidelity will no longer be broadcast to every character as it happens, because "it's the Middle Ages, not a Coldplay concert." Solid patch note writing. Pregnancies that started in 1.19.0.4 will still trigger the old behaviour, so keep that in mind if you're mid-campaign.
Here's the full breakdown.
