Firaxis is rolling out a hotfix today specifically for Linux and Steam Deck players, addressing a controller responsiveness problem that was causing the input to drop out when selecting an Enhancer Belief. If you've been playing on console or Steam Deck and hit that wall, this should get you back on track.

Beyond the controller fix, the update brings over a few corrections that landed earlier on desktop. Heian's Affirmation Traditions now properly show up in the setup menu, and her civilization quote displays correctly during New Game creation. There's also a texture pop-in fix for mountain rendering when uncovering connected tiles, which should clean up those visual hiccups.

It's a lean patch, but it's matters when a controller bug is locking you out of core gameplay. If you're still running into problems after installing, Firaxis has a support portal ready to help. Here's what changed in this hotfix.
