Sid Meier's Civilization VII 1.3.2 - Steam macOS Notes (21st April 2026)

Firaxis has pushed a targeted hotfix for Steam Mac players, addressing crashes, multiplayer desyncs, and a Military Aid bug that was silently breaking late-game diplomacy.

Mac players have had a rougher time with Civilization VII than most, so it's good to see Firaxis move quickly here. Update 1.3.2 is a Steam-only hotfix pushed today specifically for macOS users, and it's short but focused on the right things.

The two platform fixes are self-explanatory: general stability improvements to cut down on crashes, and a desync fix for multiplayer sessions that included Mac players. That second one matters more than it sounds. A single Mac player in a multiplayer game triggering desyncs for everyone at the table is the sort of issue that quietly kills sessions and gets blamed on bad connections rather than the client. Getting that sorted is a quality-of-life improvement for mixed-platform groups.

The third fix is the one I'd flag for all players to understand: Military Aid was continuing to stack its effects even after the Diplomatic Action had ended. In a game where late-era diplomacy can swing wars significantly, having a buff persist indefinitely is the kind of silent advantage that distorts balance without anyone realising why. Here's the full breakdown.
