Season 28 ban numbers are in, and Respawn's anti-cheat team has posted a full breakdown on the Steam Community page covering everything from hardware spoofers to XIM adapters.

Across all platforms for the entirety of Season 28 (February 10 to May 5), the team issued 139,697 bans and stripped 7,912,251 RP from accounts confirmed to be cheating. The headline figure is a 4.1% match infection rate, which the team says is the lowest Apex has ever recorded. That's a number that actually means something to ranked players who've been complaining about lobby integrity for years. On the competitive side, 547 players were denied entry into ALGS tournaments, which tells you the problem at that level was far from trivial.

Specific detection categories include 4,290 DMA bans, 7,136 HWID spoofer bans, 10,658 automatic hardware detection bans, and 3,865 XIM/Titan bans. Respawn says more detection updates are in the works for Season 29. The complete notes are below.

Full Patch Notes

With Season 29 underway, we wanted to look back at Season 28, share ban numbers and showcase the anti-cheat work that went into one of our most secure seasons yet!

For the entirety of Season 28 (Feb 10- May 5), across all platforms, we issued a total of 139,697 bans on accounts for various cheating infractions. Some highlights for specific bans:

DMA: 4,290

HWID Spoofer: 7,136 Automatic Hardware Detection: 10,658 Xim/Titan: 3,865

We removed a total of 7,912,251 RP from accounts with confirmed cheating infractions.

Split 1: 4,413,776

Split 2: 3,498,475

In Season 28, we implemented multiple new detection systems, while updating and overhauling existing ones. This equipped us to remove even more cheaters from our game and obtain the lowest match infection rate ever hit on Apex at 4.1%.

Additionally, the Anti-Cheat Team’s work kept our competitive scene secure, with 547 denied entries into ALGS tournaments.

We are currently working on more updates, enhancements and detections for Season 29 , and we are excited to share more soon!
