'Tarkov in Space' Finally Has a Name and a Trailer

After months of ARG puzzles and cryptic teasers, the game everyone was calling 'Tarkov in space' finally has an official name: Fragmentary Order.

After months of ARG puzzles, cryptic lore drops, and a community convinced it knew exactly what this was, Rant Gaming and publisher Cor3 have officially revealed Fragmentary Order, a hardcore sci-fi multiplayer FPS built around tactical simulation, survival, and extraction. A seven-minute CGI trailer dropped alongside the announcement, laying out the game's lore from the present day all the way to 2251.

The setup is dense but familiar. Players control 'Replicated Entities', clone assets deployed remotely into contested zones across the solar system, completing contracts, scavenging resources, and trying to get out alive. Advanced weapon systems, complex health mechanics, large-scale maps, vehicles, and deep customisation round out the feature list. If that sounds like Escape from Tarkov with a sci-fi coat of paint, that's because it basically is, and the developers don't seem to be hiding from that comparison.

One thing early: Nikita Buyanov, head of studio at Battlestate Games, stated publicly that Fragmentary Order has no connection to Battlestate or Tarkov. The 'Tarkov in space' label is a community shorthand for what the game looks like, not a lineage claim. Rant Gaming is a new studio, and Cor3 is the publisher that spent the last several months running an ARG to build the world before a single gameplay frame was shown.

That ARG isn't just marketing, either. According to the press release, completing steps on the COR3 website is how players will earn access to the earliest builds of the game, with reputation and ranking carrying over into the meta. It's an unusual onboarding structure, and whether it translates into a healthy early community or a gatekeeping headache is a real question. No release date or Early Access window has been announced.
