Two full platformers for $39.99 is a deal you don't see often from a major publisher, and Ubisoft isn't even making you hunt for a special edition to get it. Every copy of Rayman Legends Retold, whether standard, deluxe, or retail launch edition, includes Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition at no additional cost when both arrive on October 1st, 2026.

Ubisoft shared the first gameplay trailer for the Origins remaster alongside the announcement, and the official description lays out what's changed:

(Re)discover the platforming classic, now enhanced with 4K visuals, new collectibles and rewards, plus a range of quality-of-life improvements. Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition is included exclusively with every edition of Rayman Legends Retold.

The 2011 original was already a gorgeous game thanks to the UbiArt Framework engine, so a straight resolution bump might sound minor. But the Enhanced Edition goes further than a simple upscale. It runs at 4K and 60 FPS, adds haptic feedback for compatible controllers, includes accessibility options, and lets you skip cutscenes. There are new skins to unlock and an expanded version of the Snoring Tree, which served as the game's hub world.

One addition that caught my eye: the PS Vita-exclusive Relics, some of the hardest collectibles in the entire franchise, are being brought to all platforms for the first time. These unlock hidden videos and bonus content that were previously locked behind owning the handheld port. Folding a portable-exclusive feature into a console remaster is a small thing, but it's the kind of detail that shows someone actually cared about what made each version of Origins distinct rather than just slapping a resolution number on the box.

Two Games, One Price

Rayman Legends Retold itself is a full reimagining of the 2013 platformer, not just a remaster. It features 3D visuals, a new story, fully voiced cinematics, and follows Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy through a new threat to the Glade of Dreams. Bundling a remastered Origins alongside it means buyers are getting two complete Rayman games spanning the series' modern 2D era, and at a price point that undercuts most standalone remasters.

I want to be clear about why this stands out: the industry standard right now is to charge $50-70 for a single remaster and then sell cosmetic packs on top. Ubisoft is pricing Retold at $39.99 and throwing in an entire second game. If you're cynical, you could argue Origins is being used as a sweetener to push Retold pre-orders. And sure, that's probably true. But the result for players is still two polished platformers for less than the price of one remake from most other publishers. I'll take the marketing play if the value is real.

Pre-orders for any edition include the Hoodlum Havoc Pack with two costumes inspired by Rayman 3. The Deluxe Edition, digital only, adds a Retro Pack with four costumes and an art gallery. The Launch Edition, retail only, comes with a physical map, three lithographs, and a slipcase. A separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack lets retail buyers grab the digital extras.

All of this falls under Rayman's 30th anniversary celebrations, which already produced Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition earlier this year. Rayman Legends Retold and Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition launch together on PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on October 1st, 2026, and at that price with that much content, Ubisoft is making it difficult to find a reason not to pick this up.
