$2,000 for Rayman? Xbox Store Leaks Origins Remaster
A remastered Rayman Origins briefly appeared on the Xbox Store for $1,999.99, revealing 4K resolution, 60fps, and previously Vita-exclusive content before Ubisoft could pull the listing.

$1,999.99. That's the price the Xbox Store briefly slapped on Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition before the listing was yanked offline, giving us our clearest look yet at another unannounced Rayman project leaking out of Ubisoft's increasingly porous pipeline.
The listing, first spotted by Wario64 and captured by Nintendo Everything, confirms the remaster is targeting Xbox Series X/S with 4K resolution, 60fps, and unspecified quality-of-life improvements. The price is obviously a placeholder, but the details underneath it are very real. The store description called it the "definitive experience" and listed over 60 handcrafted levels, up to four-player couch co-op, and a cast of over 100 characters across what it described as "wildly imaginative worlds."
Vita Relics Make the Jump
One detail buried in the listing stands out more than the rest: 60 hidden Relics, previously exclusive to the PlayStation Vita version of Rayman Origins. Collecting those Relics unlocked murals with additional character lore, and they've been inaccessible to most players since the Vita faded into obscurity. Bringing them to modern hardware is exactly the sort of addition that separates a lazy resolution bump from a remaster that actually respects the source material. I'm glad someone at Ubisoft remembered they existed.
Rayman Origins originally launched in 2011 across Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360, with PC, Vita, and 3DS versions following later. It was one of the best 2D platformers of its generation, and it's been stuck on last-gen hardware for nearly 15 years has always felt like a waste. The UbiArt Framework engine still produces some of the most visually distinctive 2D art in gaming, and seeing it run at 4K/60 should look spectacular.
This leak follows a pattern that's becoming routine for Ubisoft's Rayman revival. The Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition leaked through the Australian Classification Board before its formal announcement late last year. Details about a Rayman Legends Retold remake surfaced earlier this week. And around the 30th Anniversary Edition's launch, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said the collection was "only the beginning of the franchise's comeback." Job postings this year also pointed to a "prestigious AAA title for the Rayman brand," suggesting something bigger is in development beyond remasters and compilations.
With Summer Game Fest days away, a formal reveal feels imminent. Reports also suggest Rayman Legends Retold could be available to pre-order as soon as June 2nd, with an alleged October launch at $39.99. If Ubisoft is stacking an Origins remaster on top of a Legends remake on top of whatever that AAA project turns out to be, this is the most attention Rayman has gotten in over a decade. After years of Ubisoft treating its best platformer like it didn't exist, I'll take a messy rollout over continued silence any day.
