Pragmata Cracks Switch 2's Top 3 in Week One

Capcom's long-awaited sci-fi adventure hit the Switch 2 eShop running, debuting at #3 overall with its Deluxe Edition also cracking the top 10.

"3% Behind RE4 Remake" is what I wrote about Pragmata's Capcom positioning just days ago, and now the Switch 2 eShop charts are backing that up. According to the latest Nintendo Switch 2 eShop data for the week of April 19, 2026, Pragmata debuted at #3 on the All Games chart, with its Deluxe Edition also landing at #6. Only Pokemon Pokopia and Mouse: P.I. For Hire are selling faster on the platform right now.

That's a strong opening for a game that spent years in development limbo. Pragmata was first announced in 2020, and watching it actually ship and immediately chart on a brand-new console feels like a small miracle. Two separate SKUs in the top 10 tells you people aren't just curious; they're buying the premium version too.

What Else Is Moving

Mouse: P.I. For Hire is the other big debut, sitting at #2 overall. The noir-styled FPS has clearly found an audience on Switch 2, and a physical Mouseberg Edition is already up for pre-order at Best Buy with a July 10 release according to Nintendo's pre-order listings. Pokemon Pokopia holds the top spot, which surprises nobody.

The download-only chart paints a different picture of what Switch 2 owners are actually playing day to day. Hades 2 leads that list, followed by No Man's Sky, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, and Fallout 4. It's a lot of ports, and I think that says something about where the Switch 2 library is right now. People are catching up on games they couldn't run on the original hardware. Blue Prince at #6 and Hollow Knight: Silksong at #18 are the standouts there for anyone looking beyond the usual suspects.

Resident Evil Requiem sitting at #22 on the All Games chart is lower than I'd expect for a mainline RE entry, though it's been out long enough that the launch window rush has passed. Cyberpunk 2077 at #10 is still holding strong, and Split Fiction cracking the top 20 suggests EA's co-op bet is paying off on the platform.

The broader lineup of Switch 2 pre-orders keeps filling out too. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 is dated for August 27, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for June 3, and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition still sits at a vague "TBA 2026." Castlevania: Belmont's Curse and Corpe Party 2: Darkness Distortion are also listed without firm dates. As someone who covers horror, seeing Corpse Party 2 confirmed for Switch 2 with both standard and limited editions already at retailers is a quiet win.

Nintendo also has brief maintenance planned for both Switch 2 and original Switch on April 20, affecting downloadable software licenses and virtual game cards. The window is short, running just 30 minutes starting at 7 PM PT, so it shouldn't disrupt anyone's evening for long.
