J.K. Simmons Roasts a Spider-Man Knockoff in Invincible VS
Leaked voice lines from Invincible VS pit J.K. Simmons' Omni-Man against Agent Spider, and the dialogue is pure J. Jonah Jameson fury.
"You're a criminal, a vigilante, a public menace; what are you doing in my universe?" That's Omni-Man talking to Agent Spider in what appears to be leaked DLC voice lines from Invincible VS, and if you've ever heard J.K. Simmons scream about Spider-Man from behind a desk at the Daily Bugle, you already know exactly what's happening here.
Dataminers have been tearing through Invincible VS since its April 30 launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and the findings go well beyond a single funny interaction. Audio files posted by X user @multiversusie contain voice lines pointing to several unannounced characters, including the Mauler Twins, Agent Spider, Damien Darkblood, Oliver, Angstrom, Dinosaurus, and Volcanikka. Immortal and Universa were already confirmed as upcoming additions, but the rest appear to be new reveals pulled straight from the game's data.
The Agent Spider lines are the standout, though. The character is Prime Video's legally distinct Spider-Man stand-in, first introduced in Invincible's second season. Pairing him with Simmons' Omni-Man creates a collision between the actor's two most recognizable roles, and Quarter Up clearly knew what they were doing. The "public menace" phrasing is lifted almost verbatim from Jameson's vocabulary. I love that the studio leaned into it this hard rather than playing coy; it's the exact kind of self-aware writing that makes a crossover fighter's roster feel alive instead of just being a character select screen.
Beyond the audio, character models shared by @astragalu3 and footage posted by @multiversusie suggest some of these characters are further along than others. Angstrom in particular looks close to finished based on the leaked gameplay clip, which could mean he's one of the first DLC drops.
Unreleased skins have also surfaced, including alternate looks for Angstrom, Anissa, Bulletproof, Cecil, DupliKate, and Immortal. None of this has been officially confirmed by Quarter Up, so timelines are anyone's guess, but the volume of near-complete assets in the files suggests the studio had a substantial post-launch pipeline ready before the game even shipped.
