$90 for All Three? Gothic Trilogy Skips the Bundle
THQ Nordic is releasing Gothic Classic, Gothic II, and Gothic 3 individually across three separate months at $29.99 each, with no trilogy bundle in sight.
Three games, three release dates, three separate $29.99 price tags. THQ Nordic confirmed on X that the Gothic Classic trilogy is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One this year, but players who want the full set will need to buy each entry individually. Gothic Classic launches July 28, Gothic II Complete Classic follows on September 29, and Gothic 3 Classic closes things out on November 24.
That's $89.97 for three games that are 20-plus years old and have been available on PC for a fraction of that price for years. I'm surprised there's no discounted trilogy bundle here, especially when you consider that the Gothic Remake is already launching on June 5 at $59.99. A fan who wants the full Gothic experience on console this year is looking at roughly $150 before tax. Pre-ordering the Remake does get you Gothic Classic for free as a digital bonus, which softens the blow slightly, but only for the first game.
The staggered release schedule is an odd choice too. Spacing three ports across five months feels like it's designed to keep Gothic in the conversation around the Remake's launch window rather than serve the players who'd rather just grab them all at once. Gothic Classic and Gothic II Complete Classic are already available on Switch, and Gothic 3 has been a PC exclusive since 2006 until now, so there's clearly an audience for these. But asking that audience to pay full price three separate times with no bundle discount feels like a missed opportunity to build goodwill ahead of the Remake.
Gothic 3 finally hitting consoles for the first time is a milestone for the series, and Gothic II Complete Classic packing in the Night of the Raven expansion is the right call. If THQ Nordic eventually offers a trilogy bundle at a reasonable price, this becomes a much easier recommendation. Right now, the value proposition leans heavily on nostalgia and how much you're willing to pay for it.
