For years, the Gears of War community has been abuzz with anticipation for the 'Gears Collection'. This collection, rumored to be under development, is expected to bring a fresh breath to the classic Gears of War games, leveraging the power of Unreal Engine 5. The latest buzz comes from an episode of The Infinite Podcast, where it was revealed that The Coalition, the studio behind Gears of War since the 2015 Ultimate Edition, is currently testing the Gears Collection.

The Gears Collection is often likened to the Master Chief Collection of the Halo series. It's speculated to be a comprehensive package, potentially including remastered or even rebuilt versions of the Ultimate Edition, Gears 2, 3, 4, and Judgment. This exciting news was initially shared on Twitter by Idle Sloth, following a clip from The Infinite Podcast. The same episode also hinted at 343 Industries' involvement in the upcoming Indiana Jones game.

Intriguingly, The Coalition is rumored to be working on a brand-new IP, stepping away from its traditional focus on the Gears of War universe. While details about the Gears Collection's release remain under wraps, the fact that it's in a playable state during testing suggests that fans might not have to wait much longer to get their hands on this remastered saga.
