Cliff Bleszinski, the renowned designer of the Gears of War series, has recently expressed his interest in returning to the franchise as a consultant for Microsoft on future projects. This news comes as a surprise to many fans, as Bleszinski, also known as 'CliffyB', has not been involved with the series for over a decade.

Despite his significant contributions, particularly as a designer for Gears of War 3 in 2011, Bleszinski has had no recent engagements with Microsoft or The Coalition, the current studio handling the franchise. His suggestion that Microsoft could benefit from his involvement, especially from a public relations standpoint, has sparked discussions among the gaming community. "If they were smart, they’d enlist me for my input because just from a PR standpoint alone it would be gold," Bleszinski remarked in a statement on Twitter.

Following his tenure with Gears of War, Bleszinski ventured into various fields, including founding Boss Key Productions, which released two games before shutting down. He has also explored restaurant ventures, theatrical productions, memoir writing, comic book creation, and even stand-up comedy.

Bleszinski's potential return to the Gears of War series is a topic of great interest and speculation among fans and industry insiders. His experience and vision were instrumental in shaping the franchise, and his involvement in future projects could bring a fresh perspective to the beloved series.
