The highly popular open-world pirate adventure game, Sea of Thieves, has reached a significant milestone of 40 million players across Xbox, Windows 10, and Steam since its initial release in 2018. With the game set to launch on PlayStation 5 at the end of the month, a new wave of players will soon be able to join the swashbuckling fun on the high seas.

In a recent blog post by Rare, the developer behind Sea of Thieves, the team expressed their excitement for the game's upcoming release on the PlayStation platform. They also announced the Gold & Glory Weekend event, offering players a chance to earn boosted Renown to climb the ranks on the season eleven scoreboard.

Rare attributes the ongoing success of Sea of Thieves to their commitment to providing regular updates and new content to keep players engaged. With over a hundred free updates released since the game's launch, the developer continues to innovate and introduce exciting features like throwing knives and the Bone Caller in the upcoming Season 12.

As Sea of Thieves sets sail for PlayStation 5 on April 30, the game shows no signs of slowing down. If you're eager to embark on a pirate adventure in a vibrant open world, be sure to keep an eye on the horizon for its PS5 release.
