PlayStation Offers Refunds for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Due to Technical Issues

Rocksteady Studios' latest spinoff, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has landed amidst a flurry of technical difficulties a month after its release. The issues have been so severe that PlayStation has resorted to issuing refunds to disgruntled players. Some even claim to have successfully secured refunds due to game-halting errors, though others were not as fortunate. Furthermore, failing to meet its sales goals has added to the game’s woes.

The latest spinoff from the Batman: Arkham series, the game takes place five years after Batman: Arkham Knight in a brainwashed Metropolis city. After its release, Warner Bros. Discovery confessed that its sales had largely remained below par, with the game defeated by the older Batman: Arkham Knight in terms of Steam player count.

Players of the game reported that their requests for refunds due to game-stopping bugs led to PlayStation actually reimbursing their payment. Sony usually doesn't process refunds unless the players are dissatisfied with the game, but the company seems to have made an exception in this case, refunding the price of the game to the players' account balance.

Several players have shared their refund journey, including a Reddit user known as Tris who confirmed their refund receipt from PlayStation, and explained how they reached customer service to discuss the crippling issues plaguing their game experience. However, not all players echoed this success, with some stating their refund requests were denied.

While more players anticipate the Joker to be an exciting addition to the much-awaited Season 1 Update, the overwhelming glitches have pushed back this part of the game to March 28 from March 8. The developers are actively working to resolve the bugs and stabilizing the game, thus promising a stellar gaming experience in further updates.
