War Thunder marks French Air Force Day with a fresh event offering exclusive decals and rewards through July 5th.
War Thunder is running a French Air Force Day event from now until July 5th (11:00 GMT), celebrating the founding of France's independent air force on this date in 1934. The event ties into the game's broader recognition of French aviation history, from its First World War origins through to modern jets like the Mirage and Rafale.
The core task is straightforward: earn 3,000 mission points flying French aircraft at rank III or higher, and you'll unlock the "French Air Force Day" trophy. Inside you'll find one of four decals, including the "Emblem of the French Air Force Command" and "French Air Force Day 2025" variants. If you've already collected all the decals, the trophy swaps for boosters, universal backups, or a day of Premium account time instead.
You can grind this in random battles (Arcade and Realistic), though Simulator is excluded. Progress tracks in your hangar under Achievements, so you won't lose sight of where you stand. Remember to manually collect your reward once the 3,000 points are in the bag. Check the full patch notes for any additional changes.
Full Patch Notes
France made extensive use of aircraft since the First World War, and placed special emphasis on developing its air force during the interwar period; it was established as a separate military branch on July 2nd 1934. France fought on various fronts during the Second World War, with French pilots distinguishing themselves both within the ranks of the British Royal Air Force and in the service of the USSR (notably in the famous “Normandie-Niemen” squadron). After the war, France continued to develop its aircraft manufacturing industry, gaining renown for aircraft such as the Mirage and the Rafale.
Open the “French Air Force Day” trophy!
When: From July 2nd (11:00 GMT) until July 5th (11:00 GMT)
Task: Earn 3,000 mission points in battles where you used French aircraft at rank III or higher to receive the “French Air Force Day” trophy!
Inside this trophy, you’ll receive one of four decals:

| “Emblem of the French Air Force Command” decal | “French Air Force Day 2025” decal |
The “French Air Force Command Emblem” and “French Air Force Day 2025” decals can be found in the “France → Aviation” vehicle customization section. The other decals are located in the “Holidays” section.
If you already have all three decals, you’ll receive a trophy containing one of the following items:
- 20-50% Research Point booster for 3-10 battles
- 20-50% Silver Lion booster for 3-10 battles
- 3-5 universal backups
- 1 day of Premium account
Please note: After finishing the task, you need to collect the reward manually.
Additional details:
- You can complete the task in random battles, except for mode.
- Track your progress in the hangar by clicking Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → French Air Force Day.
