Update 2.55.1.165 is live today with two straightforward graphics fixes that should matter if you're running ray tracing or NVIDIA Reflex. That's now sorted. The second fix tackles a more frustrating problem: enabling NVIDIA Reflex would leave V-Sync active, capping your FPS despite your settings saying otherwise. If you've been wondering why your frame rate felt locked despite turning off V-Sync, this explains it.

Neither of these is a gameplay-shaker, but they're the exact kind of backend fix that makes your graphics settings actually do what you told them to do. Gaijin's notes mention these changes came directly from community reports, which players spotted the problems, reported them properly, and the studio fixed them. Look for the ray tracing improvements if you're running high-end hardware.

Fix

Graphics

  • Fixed an issue where enabling ray reconstruction in the ray tracing settings did not actually activate the feature.
  • A bug where enabling NVIDIA Reflex would not disable V-Sync, resulting in an FPS cap has been fixed. (Report).

Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
