Two features in one drop. VRChat Release 2026.2.2 is live today, and the headliners are Group Instance Announcements and the return of the VRC+ Leaderboard, the latter of which has clearly been missed enough to warrant a formal re-introduction.

Group Instance Announcements are the more practically useful addition here. If you've ever tried to coordinate a group event in VRChat and resorted to Discord pings or hoping people check the right place at the right time, this is the fix for that. Giving group organisers a proper in-platform way to reach members inside an instance is something that should make running community events noticeably less chaotic. The VRC+ Leaderboard coming back is a nice gesture toward subscribers who want something tangible to show for their support, even if competitive rankings in a social VR platform are a slightly odd concept.

Not a massive overhaul, but a focused update that addresses real organisational pain points for group communities. Here's the full breakdown.
