The First Descendant Hotfix 1.3.28b Patch Notes (22nd May 2026)
A small but focused hotfix lands for The First Descendant, tackling a crash bug and console stability issues following Update 1.3.28.
Less than 24 hours after Update 1.3.28 went live, Nexon has pushed a follow-up fix. Hotfix 1.3.28b dropped on Steam at 03:40 PDT on May 22, with console patches still in preparation at time of writing.
The most pressing fix here is a crash triggered by selecting an unowned Common or Rare weapon in the Weapons List UI. That's the sort of bug that hits new and returning players hardest, so getting it out fast is the right call. On the console side, Nexon has temporarily restricted the "Show Only My Fellow" option on PS5, XSX, and XSS, and disabled ray tracing in Albion on those platforms, all as a stopgap to improve memory stability. Neither restriction is ideal, but a stable game beats a pretty one that crashes.
The patch also resolves items not appearing in the Shop's Featured category and corrects Esiemo's Descendant Records images, plus fixes the Jayber Makeup "Olive" cosmetic failing to apply for PS and Xbox membership reward holders. Small stuff, but cosmetic bugs on paid or membership-exclusive items deserve a quick turnaround. Everything in the update is listed below.

■ Patch Details
- Fixed an issue where the game crashes when selecting an unowned Common or Rare weapon in the Weapons List UI.
- As a temporary measure to improve memory stability on console platforms, certain option settings will be restricted.
ㄴ The "Show Only My Fellow" option will be fixed on PS5, XSX, and XSS.
ㄴ The RT option will be disabled in Albion on PS5, XSX, and XSS.
- Fixed an issue where items were occasionally not displayed in the Featured category of the Shop.
- Fixed some images that appear in Esiemo's Descendant Records.
- Fixed an issue where the Jayber Makeup "Olive," included in the PS and XBOX membership exclusive rewards, is not applied when equipped.
