The 24th June patch for STALCRAFT: X brings a significant tutorial rework and kicks off the Spartak's Skirmish event, which runs through July 1st. The studio spent months testing the new starting experience, and it's now rolling out to everyone, including a redesigned Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant area, two new CGI cutscenes, and a completely overhauled Swamps section with fresh characters and story quests.

The real meat here is the SSPP contracts system. From June 24 to August 19, you can pick up daily missions from Major Kaganovich at faction bases, with difficulty levels tied to the Wild North. Complete them and you'll earn Receipts (the event currency) plus a chance at Leads, encrypted data pointing to SSPP stashes scattered across the North. Each stash stays active for 30 minutes once deciphered, and Leads themselves are tradeable, which should create some interesting economy movement. There's also a temporary Spartak's Calibers session mode running during the event window to test ammunition rebalancing across specialisation sets.

If you're eyeing the hardest contracts, there's an Event Pack available for purchase that bundles 10 Season Pass levels, 10,000 Receipts, and supply items, though the discount only applies to your first two purchases. Check the full notes for all the specifics on how Leads work and what rewards are waiting in the stashes.

Spartak’s Calibers

From June 24 to July 1, during the Spartak's Skirmish event, a temporary Spartak’s Calibers session mode will run.

We invite you to test the balance changes to the ammunition types that have been assigned to the specialisation sets: Armor-piercing, Explosive, Expanding, witch high Stopping power, etc. This will enable us to test the changes and collect the necessary data.

Session mode is played using pre-set equipment: armour and weapons are issued.

SSPP contracts

SSPP is seeking volunteers to carry out combat missions on a contract basis.

Contracts are issued daily from June 24 to August 19. For successfully completing their tasks, volunteers are entitled a cash bounty, a special currency, and the chance to receive tips on the locations of SSPP stashes.

There’s no time to waste – get started right now!

This event is available to all players who have completed the South storyline and joined the North faction.

How to get contracts

  • A representative of the SSPP, Major Kaganovich, is located at each of the northern faction bases, as well as at Drunken Geiger Bar. He offers contracts of varying difficulty involving clearing up events in the open world and eliminating mutants.
  • Only one contract can be active at a time. The new one will become available once the current one has been completed or has failed.
  • One free contract of each difficulty level is available every day. Additional contracts can be obtained for rubles.
  • You are allowed one attempt to complete the task. If you die, the contract is failed, but you can attempt it again for the same fee.
  • The reward is sent to your mail immediately after you complete the task.
  • The letter contains Receipts and the chance to receive a Lead.

Receipts are the event’s currency, which can be spent in the Event Hub shop.

Leads

There are four difficulty levels available for contracts in total, including the Wild North missions. The higher the level, the more dangerous it is, but the greater the chance of getting a Lead.

Lead is encrypted data that indicates the location of a SSPP stash.

To decipher them, you’ll need to consult a mechanic.

Leads are not bound, so they can be sold.

There are several types of Leads:

Basic Lead
Valuable Lead
Secret Lead
Operatiopnal Lead for Lyubech-3
Intelligence Lead for the Radar
Intelligence Lead for Uranus Mill
Intelligence Lead for Stillwaters

SSPP Stockpiles

SSPP Stockpiles are stashes left across the North. They contain various rewards: Receipts, consumables, craft items, barter resources and loot for selling.

  • Stockpile waypoints appear on a map after you decipher the lead.
  • Stash can only be opened by those who have deciphered the relevant Lead.
  • You can decipher several Leads at the same time, but each stash is only available for 30 minutes from the moment it appears.

Challenges

Complete the event challenges to earn even more Receipts and Season Pass points.

Event shop

Receipts can be spent in the event shop on a variety of consumables and a Special Case token.

Limits on the purchase of Anomalous Serum are updated daily.

Changing the start of the game

We spent several months testing the new tutorial — the results were excellent. Therefore, we are updating the starting part of the game for all players.

What has changed:

ChNPP

  • The storyline has been updated to reflect the latest events in the world of STALZONE.
  • Location has been completely redesigned.
  • Added two new CGI cutscenes.

Swamps tutorial

This part has already been tested by a bunch of players — it’s now available to everyone in the final version.

  • Changed Linden's storyline.
  • Added the option to skip this section.
  • Visually updated the tutorial dungeon.

New Swamps quests

Two new characters, Onion and Stump, have been added in place of Linden.

Several story quests have been added prior to the encounter with the Ataman or Saint.

Added some short side quests and tutorial missions to help you understand the game’s core mechanics.

Event pack

Contract work rarely gets by without additional supplies. For volunteers willing to take on the most challenging tasks, the SSPP has put together a special pack containing useful resources and a supply of Receipts.

Pack includes:

  • 10 Season Pass Levels;
  • 10 000 Receipts;
  • 10 Overdrives;
  • 5 Strategic Reserves.

It can be purchased 10 times. Discount applies only to the first and second purchase.

Other

Adjusted respawn boundaries on the Moria House map.
