SCUM Hotfix - 1.3.2.2 Patch Notes (30th July 2026)
The follow-up to July's major update fixes critical crashes, closes a keycard exploit that was draining server resources, and resolves widespread visual and inventory glitches.

SCUM's second hotfix in as many weeks arrives to mop up the fallout from the July Update, and this one swings at both stability and economy. The patch closes a keycard farming exploit that was actively damaging servers by allowing players to indefinitely drain the global keycard supply from police stations. That's the kind of issue that doesn't just affect individual servers; it degrades the shared resource pool for everyone, so plugging it matters more than the changelog's single-line mention suggests.
Crashes remain the primary target. The hotfix kills a client crash tied to crafting with ingredients at the edge of your vicinity range, plus another while driving. Neither sounds exotic, but proximity-based crafting and vehicle use are core survival loops, so these were likely blocking players from basic progression. The patch also fixes an issue where server crashes failed to generate reports, which means Gamepires was flying partially blind on stability data. That's resolved now, but it also hints that the July Update may have introduced more server instability than initially apparent.
The hunting overhaul from the July Update is getting immediate refinement. Master Hunter quests no longer require completing a regular Hunter quest first, which lowers the barrier to accessing higher-tier hunting content. That's a direct quality-of-life adjustment, not a balance shift. Separately, some Master Hunter trader items weren't appearing at all, and the Hunter's Blind destruction sound was audible across the entire island instead of locally. Both are fixes to broken systems rather than intentional changes being reverted.
Inventory and character customisation bugs dominate the rest of the patch, and they're granular enough to suggest these were player-reported issues rather than design oversights. The Grilled Rabbit Leg occupied double the space of a regular Rabbit Leg. Cutting a Long Wooden Stick produced five Small Sticks at 0.1 kg each instead of three at 0.5 kg each, breaking crafting math. Items stored in quivers and holsters became invisible after corpse recovery. The Apex Predator Chest claimed to need Metal Chest materials but only gave Wooden Chest capacity. These aren't balance problems; they're bugs in how the game calculates or displays data.
Visual clipping and colour issues round out the patch: Keyhole Shirts appeared black regardless of variant, Ultimate Quest Reward Boots clipped through female character models, Apex Predator Gloves clipped through long sleeves, and the Belt Pistol Holster strap didn't render on female characters wearing the Jacket. The Doctor trader also charged identical prices for all BCU memory upgrade tiers, and male Apex-type characters couldn't be customised at the Doctor at all. These are surface-level bugs, but they affect character presentation and economic clarity, which matter in a survival game where appearance and resource management are constant.
What's absent is any mention of balance changes or new content. This is purely a stability and bug-fix pass, which is appropriate two weeks after a major update. The keycard exploit fix is the only change with real economy implications, and it's corrective rather than intentional rebalancing. For PvE and PvP players alike, this patch removes friction without shifting the underlying game.
