SCUM Hotfix - 1.2.3.2 Patch Notes (7th May 2026)
Gamepires has pushed a quick hotfix to SCUM today, addressing the mod-breaking issues that followed the last patch.

Mod support breaking after a patch is one of those issues that hits a survival game's community hard, so Gamepires moved fast. Hotfix 1.2.3.2 is out today, and the headline fix is mod compatibility. Unofficial.pak files now need to be placed in subfolders of SCUM\Content\Paks\ due to security measures introduced in the previous update, so if your mods are still dead after this, that's the first place to check.
There's also a fix for puppet spawning issues, which is a quieter but meaningful change for anyone whose sessions were being disrupted by enemies not appearing where they should.
Gamepires did flag one known issue they haven't resolved yet: opening chests containing large numbers of weapons with attachments is causing performance problems. They say a fix is coming soon, which I'll believe when I see it, but at least they're being upfront rather than pretending it isn't happening. Everything in the update is listed below.
Full Patch Notes
Hey there prisoners!
We’ve seen your feedback about mods breaking after the latest patch, so we’re putting out a quick hotfix to get them working again. Due to certain security measures, unofficial .pak files can currently only be placed in subfolders of SCUM\\Content\\Paks\\
There is also a fix for some puppet spawning issues.
We're aware of the performance issues caused by opening chests with a lots of weapons with attachments, we're working on this and we'll have a hotfix for it very soon!
Stay tuned for more info on the next update!
