Content Update 0.5.0, Path of Exile 2: Return of the (21st May 2026)

Logbooks are getting their biggest shakeup yet in Content Update 0.5.0, which went live for Path of Exile 2 today. Grinding Gear Games has themed the update around exploration, and from what's shown, that's not just cosmetic framing, the update introduces island-hopping across open oceans as the core structure for Logbook content.

New additions include Siren Eggs and trapped Wisps, both of which suggest the kind of layered discovery mechanics GGG does well when they're firing on all cylinders. I've sunk embarrassing hours into PoE's endgame systems over the years, and reworked Logbooks with a seafaring twist is exactly the sort of lateral thinking that keeps this game interesting between major league releases.
