Minecraft Bedrock Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 26.31 (22nd June 2026)
A hotfix for Minecraft Bedrock rolls out today, squashing crashes and fixing a nasty split-screen bug on Switch.

Minecraft Bedrock's 26.31 hotfix is rolling out today to patch some annoying issues that slipped through in the last update. Nothing groundbreaking here, but these are the kind of fixes that matter when they're affecting your ability to actually play.
The big one: if you've got split-screen guests on Nintendo Switch, they can finally join without the game throwing an ID collision error. There's also a fix for players getting stuck on the loading screen when Screen Animations were turned off, that one was causing the game to hang entirely, so it's good to see it addressed. Dispenser projectiles that were supposed to fire upward are now launching properly, and server connectivity should feel snappier overall.
On the stability front, Mojang squashed several crashes during gameplay and one that was hitting the Switch main menu. Nothing flashy, but these are the fixes that keep the game running smooth. Check the full notes below for the complete breakdown.
