Mechabellum's balance team has decided to dial back Stormcaller after early data showed the Tech swinging wildly between overpowered and underwhelming. The ATK modifier drops from +120% to +80%, and the missile HP modifier falls from +250% to +200%. It's a cautious move. The studio plans to collect more data before making further tweaks, which suggests they're not entirely confident where this unit should land yet.

Two visual fixes accompany the nerf. Missile Interceptor Tech now displays an area indicator like other Techs, closing a consistency gap that should help players plan their defences more clearly. The Experimental Death Knell also gets a visual polish to fix an unspecified display issue.

This is a small patch, but the Stormcaller adjustment matters if you've been leaning on that unit's raw damage output. The team's transparent note about collecting balance data suggests more shifts could follow, so don't get too comfortable with whatever meta settles in the next week or two. Update 1.11.1a is live now.

Balance Adjustments

Stormcaller

  • ATK modifier +120% → +80%, missile HP modifier +250% → +200%
Developer's Note: Currently, we are still collecting more balance data on . Early data show that the strength of this Tech is unstable, sometimes strong and sometimes weak. To play it more safely, we have decided to make a minor nerf to it for now and plan to make further adjustments after obtaining more data in the future.

Bugfixes

  • Now Missile Interceptor Tech will also show an indicator of the area like other Techs.
  • Fixed a visual issue with the Experimental Death Knell
