Marathon Update 1.1.0.2 is live, and Bungie's rolling out C.A.R.R.I., the CyberAcme Runner Reinforcement Initiative, with a commendation system that actually rewards crew play. Solo runners earn +6 commendations per objective, crews get +4 per assist, and Rooks pull +5 for exfils. The big move here is the weekly weapon showcase: you get a free enhanced weapon each week, but can also buy deluxe variants. It's the kind of seasonal carrot that keeps players coming back without feeling forced.

The economy side needed work, and this patch tackles it. Bungie's reduced XP values on deluxe unique weapons (1,500 down to 700) and weapon mods across the board, Superior mods cut from 2,500 to 1,000, Prestige from 7,500 to 3,750. Loot quality in Night Marsh is slightly reduced with a bigger item pool, and pinnacle containers are dropping less Prestige gear. These aren't flashy changes, but they're the kind of rebalancing that stops the economy from bloating.

There's also a pile of bug fixes: crew matchmaking errors now display which teammate has the problem, Dire Marsh exfil timers are no longer broken, and audio issues on several weapons are resolved. Look for the commendation rewards to hit your vault after each run.
