Heroes of the Storm Balance Patch Notes (11th May 2026)
Blizzard drops a balance patch with notable changes to Arthas, Gazlowe, and the Haunted Mines map, plus a raft of long-overdue bug fixes.
Arthas players have had a rough time lately, so today's Heroes of the Storm balance patch should be a relief. His base health jumps from 2625 to 2750, Icebound Fortitude now clears Slows and Roots on activation, and Path of Frost has been reworked to set a minimum movement speed of 140% rather than just adding a flat bonus, a change that makes him far harder to kite in the late game.
Haunted Mines gets a structural tweak if you play that map regularly. Skull scaling is up from 5% to 7%, Golem power before five minutes has been pulled back, but the late-game Golem is significantly stronger. Blizzard is clearly pushing for longer, higher-stakes mine contests rather than early snowballs. Gazlowe also gets a meaningful turret damage buff, from 37 to 43, which combined with the One Man Wrecking Crew talent increase should make him feel a lot more threatening in the right hands.
The bug fix list is long, and several of these, Muradin's Perfect Storm going on cooldown while already on cooldown, Rexxar's Misha failing to respawn, are the sort of issues that should never have shipped. Better late than never. Everything in the update is listed below.
