The 6.2.6 hotfix landed today to clean up the mess left by last week's Machinery of Oppression update. Nixxes and Arrowhead are still wrestling with upscaling quality and performance, but this patch at least stops the bleeding on the most critical issues.

The headline fix is straightforward: Intel XeSS upscaling was crashing on some systems, and that's now resolved. More importantly, Dynamic Resolution Scaling, which was causing graphical glitches on certain graphics cards, is disabled by default on PC. If you were seeing weird visual artifacts or performance tanking unexpectedly, this is probably why. You can still manually enable DRS if you want to experiment, but Arrowhead's clearly not confident in it yet.

Image quality improvements across NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS are also in the notes, though Arrowhead's being vague about specifics. They're still actively optimizing, which suggests the upscaling situation isn't where they want it to be. Here's what changed in this round of fixes.
