Helldivers 2 Machinery of Oppression: 6.2.3 Patch Notes (6th May 2026)

A targeted fix for the Hive Guard, whose armor values got quietly scrambled back in patch 6.2.1.

The Hive Guard has been quietly wrong for a couple of patches now. A bug introduced in 6.2.1 swapped the armor values on its Legs and Claws, meaning players were shooting at the wrong spots for optimal damage without ever knowing it. Patch 6.2.3, out today, reverts that and restores the enemy to its intended state.

The corrected stats shift armor on the Claws from 3 down to 1, making them noticeably softer targets, while the Front Legs go the other way, climbing from 2 to 3. The Head also drops from 4 to 3, and the Main Body picks up both a small armor increase and a health bump from 375 to 500. In practice, those Claws are now much easier to strip, which changes how you prioritize hits on this enemy in a real engagement.

It's a small patch, but fixing a stat swap that's been silently messing with enemy behavior is exactly the kind of housekeeping that matters. The complete notes are below.

We have reverted the Hive Guard and fixed an issue introduced in Patch 6.2.1 where armor values were incorrectly swapped between the Legs and Claws.

Updated Hive Guard stats:

Main Body

Armor increased from 1 → 2

Health increased from 375 → 500

Armor decreased from 4 → 3

Front Legs

Armor increased from 2 → 3

Claws

Armor decreased from 3 → 1
