Fallout 76 Maintenance Announcement Patch Notes (29th May 2026)

Fallout 76 is going down for maintenance on Tuesday, June 2 at 10am ET/9am CT across all platforms. Bethesda confirmed via Steam that the downtime is to deploy the Infestations update, though no patch notes have been shared yet alongside the announcement.

The name alone has my attention. Infestations suggests something crawling, swarming, or otherwise deeply unpleasant has arrived in Appalachia, and after years of seasonal content drops, Bethesda knows how to make a theme land. Whether this is a major content update or a lighter maintenance patch, we'll know more once the servers come back online.
